Paul Cartwright Groups of mallards, mainly drakes and the odd duck fly into my garden from Nantwich lake in the summer months, and always eagerly devour the Gala wildfowl mix - not to mention both the insect and berry suet pellets which they can't get enough of. The females are absolute gluttons, presumably building themselves up for egg-laying.
