Important information regarding the November lockdown
Well here we go again!
Luckily I haven't had to post an update on this page for a number of months now, but, alas, the moment has come where another lockdown is required. This time though I am happy to announce we are a lot more prepared and readily available.
Firstly the big difference to the last lockdown is that Nantwich market will remain open to traders selling essential goods, both indoors and outdoors. Considering that both pet stores and garden centres have been allowed to continue to open through this lockdown, the council deemed us an essential stall and have approved of us continuing to trade from Nantwich outdoor market from our usual pitch. So if you're happy to continue to venture out to the market during lockdown we will be there to provide you with all your wildlife requirements.
We will, however, be reducing the amount of days we are at the market, at least for the beginning. Due to there being very little essential stalls open on a Tuesday market day, we will not be attending on Tuesdays, as we believe there simply won't be the footfall to sustain it. Nevertheless, we will continue to trade on a Thursday and Saturday market days and assess it's viability for the future of during the lockdown.
Secondly, we will continue our online orders as usual - so if you are reducing your time spent out of the house we are more than happy to delivery your products to your door. We understand that some of our customers will require a non-contact delivery service and this can be arranged by leaving a message in our 'notes' section in the checkout stage, stating where we should leave the order upon delivery.
However you wish to buy your wildlife products, we hope to have you covered. I really must thank every single one of our customers for your continued support through these difficult times. We both greatly appreciate all your excellent reviews and kind words.

Increase in minimum spend for free delivery
At the start of the Coronavirus pandemic we realised that many of our customers wished to isolate themselves to prevent being exposed to the virus, especially those most vulnerable. We therefore took it upon ourselves to make the decision to lower our minimum spend to £10 on our website for free delivery. This allowed those isolating to continue to feed their garden birds however few or many birds they fed.
This, however, was temporary. And with the new government guidelines relaxing the rules over social distancing and travel, we now believe it is the right time to look towards the future and getting things back to normal.
Now that many of you have returned to visiting Nantwich market and on the whole website orders have dropped in volume we must increase the minimum spend for free delivery to £15.
Thank you to all those who have continued to support us and we hope to continue providing you with the very best quality wildlife products and service as possible.
Delivery days update
Please note that due to us now attending Nantwich Market, we will also be delivering on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. These will now be the main delivery days just after the market, but if we receive a high volume of orders then we shall also be delivering on any of the other available days.
Re-opening of our Nantwich outdoor market stall
With the recent announcement from the UK government allowing the re-opening of outdoor markets we have now returned to our stall at Nantwich market. We will be resuming our normal trading days of Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at usual opening hours. On Tuesday and Thursday we are on our usual pitch at the front of the car park. On Saturday we will be a little further down to allow some of the indoor market stalls to trade outdoors also.
Unfortunately, due to the increase of other stalls and to allow for a 2 metre social distancing to be carried out, all stalls, including our own, have had to significantly reduce in size. So please, if you can't see what you're looking for out on display then don't hesitate to ask and we should have it somewhere hidden around the stall.
We're both so glad to be returning back to Nantwich market and start making those first steps back to normality.
As for our website and delivery service, they will remain the same. We will still, as always, be taking orders through our website and over the phone. The new reduced minimum spend of £10 for free delivery will also continue as we realise there are many of you who are still vunerable and wish to continue having orders delivered.
Mealworms & stock fluctuations
We apologise for the delay getting mealworms out with some orders recently. We are expecting a large delivery this week and should be delivering all outstanding orders as soon as possible.
Please understand that all stocks can fluctuate without warning due to the current situation we all find ourselves in - these are mostly issues outside of our control. However, manufacturers and suppliers do seem to be getting a handle on supplies now.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday
We can usually accommodate orders received up-to 12am on a delivery day; thereafter, your order will be scheduled for the next delivery date. For some orders, where we do not have your item/s in stock, we will take it over to the next delivery day or contact you.
Week days: 9.30 - 16.30
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
We regretfully inform you that with the latest government restrictions, Nantwich market has been forced to close its doors and we are unable to continue trading from our outdoor pitch.
This is not the end though! Our local delivery service is still fully functional and we'd like to thank everybody for their support in choosing this option whilst we go through this difficult time. You truly are helping a small local family business survive what will be our largest obstacle to date.
We hope that whilst we are all stuck indoors that, like us, you are enjoying watching all your feathered friends busily feeding away and helping to bring a smile to your face during these isolated times.

We wish to reassure you that we are still OPEN!
Orders from our website or via phone call and text continue to be recorded and delivered at the earliest possibility (within 3 days). If there are any special instructions you wish us to abide by, for example, leaving the order in a particular place rather than us handing it to you directly to reduce any possible interaction with us, then please let us know in the notes section in the checkout stage of your order. If placing an order over the phone then please mention these requirements whilst placing the order.
Secondly Nantwich market continues to be open and we aim to stay trading in our usual pitch outdoors for as long as government legislation allows us. What we do ask from you is whilst at our stall, please keep a generous distance away from both us and other customers around you to help prevent any possible spread of infection.

Due to the current situation of Coronavirus and advisories from the UK government, we realise that many of our more vulnerable and elderly customers are avoiding venturing out, especially to areas with a high population, for example, Nantwich Market.
We would like you to know that we fully support this decision and are happy to aid those who are self-isolating through what is a very difficult and anxious time.
Gala Wildlife has always offered a local delivery service for orders of a high volume, especially to those of an elderly age. But due to the Coronavirus, we wish to expand on this service and make this accessible to all who are choosing to self-isolate. Whether you currently purchase bird food in a large or small volume we want to provide you with a personal delivery service that is cheap and reliable.
For this reason, we have reviewed our delivery costs and lowered them so that all can benefit. Rather than free delivery on orders over £20, FREE DELIVERY is now available for all orders OVER £10! Likewise, delivery for orders under £10 has now been lowered to just £2.50.
