Nantwich town center was a hive of activity yesterday (Saturday) as once again we staged host to the Battle Of Nantwich re-enactment by the The Sealed Knot - always a worthwhile spectacle! (http://www.battleofnantwich.co.uk/).
The Farmers Market was also in attendance and Nantwich Traditional Market was open as usual offering high quality goods at very reasonable prices. Lucky customers visiting Nantwich Traditional Market were greeted with a tipple of sherry and crinkled crisps - delicious. (www.nantwichmarket.co.uk).
Midday saw a rather hefty thunder storm hit us with a full-on assault with rain, hailstones, wind, thunder and lightening hitting us hard! Tough conditions for any trader who attends the outdoor market! However, it only lasted for about 1 hour - or thereabouts - and then everything was calm again.
All in all a great day that was enjoyable but challenging to say the least!
Roll on next year.
